From Raleigh, NC, moved to Vero Beach in October 2017 and quickly established herself as the top
trainer in local fitness community. She has 10 years of experience teaching Spin in public, private, and luxury club based facilities ranging from Palm Springs, California to Asheville, NC. Ashley’s positive playful attitude and attention to detailed queuing make her classes high energy and dynamic. It is a ride that will take you through effective circuit training with music of all genres.
Jim, a native Floridian is an avid indoor cyclist. He started indoor cycling over 10 years ago when he had to give up running because of bad knees. Upon recommendation of his doctor he tried cycle classes and a new passion was discovered. In 2015 Jim “retired” as an international marketing executive and started his new “career” as a cycling instructor.
Jim believes that indoor cycling is the perfect cardio exercise for many reasons. It is low impact, it is an individual exercise in a group setting, it can be meditative and inspiring, and a great weight loss and weight management exercise. Jim’s classes are highly energetic and the music is rock and pop, old and new. Most of all they are fun.

Former military brat, farm girl from Texas and actress Shelley spent almost ten years in NYC where she studied with the top teachers in the Yoga Industry and received her Conservatory Training at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. As a yoga teacher, Shelley has over 1500hrs of Advanced Training and ten years of studio and private instruction under her belt, while continuing to host local teacher trainings. Shelly’s spirit and energy will motivate any rider to get into their happy place. Shelley continues to explore her theatre craft in Vero through Improvisation, Photo Art, and many other local projects.
Owner of Sebastian Yoga studio, Durgaya is focused on transformative power of yoga and empowering her students with a path to mindfulness and healing. She believes that exercise can be many things to many people and she strives to connect and resonate with each individual student. Durgaya is very actively involved in local and international charities and those in need, where she can combine her passion for serving the needs of the community and yoga. She is a road cyclist for more than ten years, loves to be on the bike if it’s a climb, flat road, or speed interval day, so in her class you can expect a combination of those followed by a mindful stretch.
Born in San Francisco, CA, grew up in Miami. FL, and has lived in Vero Beach for more than 20 years. Heather is an avid trail hiker and loves being outdoors. Four years ago she was overweight and out of shape. After hitting breaking point of feeling unhealthy and sick, Heather began a new journey in fitness to help her lose weight, be healthy, establish good eating habits and lifestyle decisions. Her journey led her to indoor cycling, boot camps, weight lifting, and yoga. Heather’s spunky attitude, love for music and zest for sweat has led her to Vero Spin. Heather invites you to join her passion for fitness and at Vero Spin.
Julie O’Brien Norris
Fitness enthusiast for over 30 years, Julie is a triathlete and former competitive swimmer. Boston
College graduate, Masters in Public Health College at Boston University. Wife and a mother of five children, Julie knows how to motivate anybody while being patiently demanding. Julie is a Breast Cancer Survivor. She is Certified Barre Instructor and passionate about wellness, functional medicine for optimal fitness and nutrition, and cooking. Julie says, that working out gives he energy and allows to de-stress and get stronger every day. No limits with Julie!
